Like every year on Whitsun, the next Wave-Gotik-Treffen (the 17th!) will take place in Leipzig, Germany, from 9th to 12th May 2008.
The Treffen (meet) is the biggest gathering of its kind worldwide.

All over the city there will be more than 150 bands, projects and single artists, performing on about 20 stages. The events will take place for instance in the vaults of the Moritzbastei, in the splendid neo-antique cupola hall of the Volkspalast, in the crypt of the Völkerschlachtdenkmal, a famous monument of the battle of 1813, as well as in large concert halls. Once more the festival will cover the
whole wide range of gothic music: from electro-pop to gothic metal, from EBM to neofolk, from medieval music to industrial.

TARJA HAS now confirmed a run of dates in Europe for May/June of this year - the first leg of her 'European Storm' tour. No UK date has been announced as of yet, but fans who went along to her one-off London show at the Electric Ballroom late last year are being invited to send along any photos taken on the night - the best ones will be picked out by Tarja for use in her 'European Storm' tour book.

When I first heard the shocking news from a friend that a huge fire was spreading through Camden, we were on the bus heading towards the cash points at Camdens Britannia Junction.
As we got off the bus, I saw that the whole area had been cordoned off at Chalk Farm Road and Kentish Town Road and people were stood around, watching. I looked up and saw smoke plummeting into the sky, but I couldnt see the flames from that far back. We bumped into someone we knew who gave us his account of where the fire was and what damage had been caused, and we overheard other people talking too, but no one really seemed to know the extent of the damage due to the confused chaos of the situation.
